How To…

How to access the highest resolution (largest dimensions/clearest photos) and use them as windows wallpaper or macintosh desktop picture, or print them up:

on flickr.com

Most photographers should be fine with you using the photos for your own personal use, as wallpaper, or printing them up to use yourself. If you want to use them in any other way (for example on a program) or to give to someone else, you should ask their permission.

1. ask the photographers permission to do this, explain what you want to do with the photo and how you will be using it (it should NOT be used for any commercial gain). To do this on flickr.com you will need to join flickr (free) and then click on the photographers profile and send them flickr mail.

2. after you have received their permission, when you click on the thumbnail image on LDSPhotoBlog.com you will be sent to flickr.com.

3. all of the photos on LDSPhotoBlog.com were linked to from this blog because they are high resolution (large dimensions). If you find a photo that is NOT high resolution (large dimensions) please notify webmaster@ldsphotoblog.com

4. after clicking on the thumbail you should be sent to that main photo page on flickr (if you aren’t, please notify using the email above) there you will see a photo with a small link on the right above it labelled “OTHER SIZES” if you click on that you will go to another page on flickr.com where you will see links to other sizes of the photo.

5. click on the “Original” link on the right to see the largest dimensions version of the photo, you will be then sent to the page that has the Original photo and should see a “Download the Original size” link on the left above the photo.

6. click on the “Download the Original size” link to download that version of the photo to your hard drive you should then be able to select it as windows wallpaper or a macintosh desktop pattern.
